Kid Friendly Things To Do in November at Lake Louise
November at Lake Louise feels calm and cozy in the best way. The lake is not frozen, the crowds are low, and everything looks soft and quiet before winter really arrives. Our day did not go quite as planned because Chloe came down with a nasty fever, but we still managed some fresh air, a quick photo, and a few moments that made the trip worth it.
If you are heading up in November with kids, here are some simple and kid friendly things to do, even if your day shifts the way ours did.
1. The Free Concierge Scavenger Hunt
This is completely free and a really fun way for kids to explore the hotel. Ours loved it and it kept them busy in the best way.
2. Shoreline Walk
The lake still shows that turquoise colour in November. The walk is easy, quiet, and perfect for a short stretch or a few family photos.

3. Kid Activity Room
The girls stuffed the cutest little bear here. Just a heads up that the bear comes with a hefty surcharge. I learned this after, so consider this your warning.

4. Pool, Hot Tub, and Steam Room
This was our original plan for the afternoon. We did not make it there with Chloe feeling awful, but it is a great way to warm up after being outside on a normal day.
5. Weekend S’mores by the Outdoor Fire
A simple and fun activity for kids. There is no hot chocolate here, just s’mores. Go early because they run out of chocolate. Arriving late can be a bit disappointing.

6. Cozy Lobby Break
Find a seat by the big windows and warm up while you take in the mountain views. It is a perfect reset if you need a break from the cold.

7. Plan a Winter Return
From late November to March, the lake freezes and turns into a full winter wonderland. You can rent skates or cross country skis and enjoy the maintained trails. It is worth coming back for.
